Lower Extremity Review magazine published a whitepaper online highlighting a clinical study comparing the diagnostic results of PADnet Xpress with other established, gold-standard technologies used to perform physiologic studies to non-invasively detect peripheral artery disease (PAD).

This whitepaper was authored by Sue Duval, PhD and Associate Professor of the University of Minnesota. Dr. Duval received her PhD in biostatistics from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, and is currently focused on meta-analysis of cardiovascular and vascular disease epidemiologic methods. She currently provides consulting and research for a variety of organizations, focusing on PAD, CLI (Critical Limb Ischemia), vascular surgery and resuscitation science.

Dr. Duval’s whitepaper came to the conclusion that, “With the reference test as the gold standard, the study results confirmed excellent diagnostic accuracy of the PADnet Xpress.” Furthermore, she concluded, “Combined with the Biomedix Xchange population health platform, PADnet Xpress should enable cost-effective care protocols to be more easily and securely realized, and most importantly, may improve patient outcomes.”
