“I had a male patient with severe intermittent claudication, he could not walk more than two blocks without pain. He was seeing a vascular surgeon who only did open vascular procedures. The surgeon instructed the patient that nothing could be done, which caused the patient to get very depressed. I performed a PADnet test, revealing a severe tibio-peroneal stenosis. I sent him to an interventional cardiologist. The patient had stents implanted in both extremities, each leg done a few weeks apart. The patient returned a few weeks later, and actually hugged me! He now walks in the local park everyday with minimal symptoms.”
